Heat-Soaked Glass

Controlled heating to 290 °C accelerates the nickel sulphide (NiS) alpha-to-beta transformation, causing vulnerable panels to fail inside the chamber rather than after installation. The Heat Soak Test is standard practice for high-rise, overhead and safety-critical glazing.
